Megawide remains interested in Davao airport expansion
The consortium of Megawide Corp. and India’s GMR is hoping to partner with the government to upgrade the Davao International Airport or the Francisco Bangoy International Airport.
The BusinessWorld reported that Megawide and GMR are “actively seeking airport projects with the government. Among these projects include the Davao Airport.
The group won the contract for the redevelopment of the P9.36-billion Clark International Airport terminal.
The project involves the expansions of passenger, cargo terminals, car parking area, and administration building.
The passenger terminal building is proposed to be expanded from 65,000 square meters (sq.m) to 125,000 sq.m while the cargo terminal building is proposed to be expanded from 13,000 sq.m to 27,000 sq.m.
