PAL opens up new routes in China
Lucio Tan-led Philippine Airlines is opening up new destinations and increasing flight frequencies in China.
PAL is increasing weekly flights between the Philippines and Greater China from the current 99 to 103 starting March 25.
“The spike is due to the shift to daily Manila – Jinjiang and Manila – Guangzhou (Canton) services from the current five times weekly on each route,” PAL said.
PAL’s multiple flights from various Chinese cities contributed to the 43.3 percent jump in the Philippines’ tourist arrivals from mainland China.
Tianjin, Shenzhen and Nanning boast a combined population of 33.8 million residents, making them a rich source for Philippine tourism.
