Megawide-GMR inks Clark airport deal

 

The consortium of Megawide Construction Corp. and India’s GMR Infrastructure have signed a contract to build a new passenger terminal for the Clark International Airport in Pampanga.

International Finance Corp. has assisted the Bases Conversion Development Authority in conducting a competitive and transparent bid process that took less than six months.

The project involves the construction of a 100,000-square meter terminal which will double Clark airport’s capacity to eight million passengers per year.

It is also expected to declog the congested Ninoy Aquino International Airport and help create jobs.
