Go cashless at Mercury Drug with PayMaya

Mercury Drug Corp., the country’s leading drugstore, has teamed up with PayMaya Philippines to offer convenient, fast, and secure cashless payment options for its consumers.

“This partnership with PayMaya is another way for us to innovate and further improve on the experience of our suki customers. We are excited to be among the pioneers in embracing this cashless technology,” said Vivian Que-Azcona, president of Mercury Drug.

Mercury Drug is the first pharmacy-retail chain in the Philippines to begin accepting payment of medicines and other consumer goods via PayMaya’s scan-to-pay technology.

“With our collaboration with Mercury Drug, one of the leading drugstore chains in the country, we are poised to accelerate the adoption of cashless payments in the country,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman of PLDT, Smart, Voyager Innovations and PayMaya Philippines.

Voyager and PayMaya president Orlando B. Vea said their alliance with one of the largest drugstore chains in the country keeps Voyager Innovations on track to achieve its goal of boosting client base to 30 million by 2020.

With PayMaya’s digital payments platforms consumers no longer need to carry a large amount of cash. This also helps them keep track of their expenses with its notification features.
