PureFoods’ new ready-to-eat facility to come online by 2019

San Miguel Pure Foods Co. Inc. expects to complete its new manufacturing plant for ready-to-eat products in Santa Rosa, Laguna by the first quarter of next year.

With the new facility, PureFoods hopes to capture a bigger share of the fast-growing ready-to-eat segment. The plant was granted incentives by the Board of Investments.

Covering 20,000 square meters of space, the plant will produce fully cooked viands and heat-and-serve meals to serve the increasing demand for convenient, nutritious meals. It will also yield products for export in the ready-to-eat format.

The plant is expected to support the government’s inclusive business program through direct employment of locals and partnership programs with local businesses, farmers, and animal growers.
