Korina Sanchez gets bitten by niknik
TV host Korina Sanchez woke up with itchy, reddish spots on her skin a day after a camping trip with husband former senator Mar Roxas.
It’s no secret that this power couple loves to go camping for “tuning out and going back to the basics.”
Camping though also exposes someone to elements of the nature including the nasty ‘niknik’ or sand mites.
“Okay I spoke to soon. Bonding and simple living is good. Being eaten up alive by niknik is definitely NOT GOOD. 😡,” said @thisiskorinasanchezroxas.
Luckily for her, ointments, vaccine, and “pinakuluang bayabas” help in alleviating the itchiness.
Ok so the latest is: I'm itching literally from head to foot. Ha ang pala kami ay watching the sunset sa bundok ay sabay naman kami pinagpipistahan ng niknik. Thank you to all of you who have recommended remedies for me king paano matatanggal ang katikati. I so appreciate it. So far, injection, creams, ointments..mamaya naman ay yung pinagkuluan ng dahon ng bayabas daw. Hahaha, sige Basta, try ko yan lahat.
It was a great day and a half of, as Mar describes it, tuning out and going back to basics. Eating kamote and mais. Cooking pinakbet. Listening to the birds. Fighting off mosquitos. Studying the plants around. Singing aloud with the radio. Waiting on the breeze. And, of course…bonding with the dogs! Hindi kami kasha sa banig! And Cocoa and Goya can't have enough of Daddy… Uuuuyyyy, sweet nilaaaa….
We’re hoping this won’t make you hate camping, Korina!
