MVP Group allots over P90B for NLEX-Cavitex Port Expressway
Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. is investing over P90 billion to build a 15-kilometer expressway that will link the North Luzon Expressway and the Manila-Cavite Expressway.
MPTC president Rordigo Franco said the project is now estimated to cost P90.2 billion, higher than the earlier projected cost of P62.4 billion.
Franco said the investment required for the project has gone up due to the construction of a tunnel expressway between Luneta and the US Embassy.
The proposed six-lane expressway will provide an ideal truck route directly linked to Port Area in Manila.
Phase 1 will be from C3 Road to Anda Circle (5.7 kilometers), while phase 2 is will run from Cavitex to Buendia (4.8 kilometers) and the lst phase is Buendia Avenue to Anda Circle (4.6 km).
The project will reduce truck traffic within its limited capacity road network and significantly contribute in the decongestion of Metro Manila’s roads.
