MVP donates P5M to Robin Padilla’s Tindig Marawi project
This renowned businessman is extending help to a worthy cause.
Manuel V. Pangilinan has deployed a P5-million donation for the people of Marawi City which he sourced from the PLDT-Smart Foundation.
The bilyonaryo turned over the fund to actor Robin Padilla, who serves as a Mindanao peace advocate and who represented the Liwanag ng Kapayapaan Foundation.
The money forms part of a microfinancing thrust of the MVP-owned FINTQnologies Corp. (FINTQ) KasamaKA project, which looks to revive 500 small businesses which were displaced by the battle in Marawi City last year.
“We are one with the government in enabling our Muslim brothers to optimize their full potential. This collaboration with KasamaKA and Tindig Marawi is just an initial step to more capacity-building initiatives leveraging on mobile technology,” Pangilinan said in a statement.
FINTQ Managing Director Lito Villanueva handed over the ceremonial check to Padilla with no less than Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Nestor Espenilla, Jr. as witness.
