OPPO eyes 20% market share with F7

Chinese phone maker OPPO aims to capture at least a fifth of the Philippine smartphone market with the launch of its new flagship model, OPPO F7.

“We see our market share increasing by 3 to 5 percent this year. Based on our latest data, we currently hold a 15 percent market share,” said Garricky Hung, vice president of Philippine OPPO Mobile Technology Inc.

Hung said OPPO has been the second bestselling smartphone brand in the country over the last three years next to South Korean tech giant Samsung.

OPPO Philippines Public Relations manager Eason de Guzman said the number of pre-orders of F7 reached 25,133 units as of April 19.

“We are pleased with how the public is receiving the OPPO F7. The amount of pre-orders has surpassed our expectations and show that the OPPO F7 is able to capture – not us the beauty, but as well as the hearts of or Fellow Filipino selfie-enthusiasts,” he added.

Powered by industry-leading front camera with 25MP and the second generation of OPPO’s groundbreaking A.I. Beauty Technology, the F7 has the right tools to deliver unique beautification for the user, plus up to three other people in the frame.

Apart from the best-in-class selfie technology, the F7 also comes with a 6.23-inch Super Full Screen Display with 2280×1080 Full HD+ resolution for a crystal clear, immersive reviewing experience.
