Can we stop worrying about inflation? Here’s BSP’s answer
Think inflation is bad? It might even get worse. Prices of basic goods are rapidly rising in the Philippines, and it’s not going to temper anytime soon.
In an interview with BusinessWorld, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo said.
Inflation would continue to accelerate until the end of the year.
The full-year average is now forecast at 4.6 percent, compared to a 4.1 percent average from January to April.
Higher rates are coming, and it won’t be good for Filipinos who have little money to spare.
The central bank has forecast inflation rate to hit between two and four percent.
