Japan grants 2B yen aid for Marawi rehab
The land of the rising sun is helping the Phillippines big time. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) extended a fresh aid to the Philippine government to help rebuild war-torn Marawi City.
Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III and JICA chief representative Yoshio Wada signed today a new grant amounting to two billion yen or roughly P970 million for the reconstruction of Marawi City.
The new credit line extended by JICA will support the Philippines’ P55 billion financing requirement for 902 priority projects and activities for the rehabilitation and recovery of Marawi City and its surrounding areas.
How generous! Arigato!
