It’s official: Bruce Tolentino takes oath for Monetary Board seat

 

He’s moving offices to Manila. A day after Malacañang announced his appointment, V. Bruce Tolentino took his oath of office as the newest member of the Monetary Board (MB) on Friday, June 8.

In a statement, MB Chairman and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Nestor Espenilla, Jr. administered Tolentino’s oath to complete the seven-member body.

Tolentino will serve until July 21, 2020 as he fills in the remainder of the term of MB Member Valentin Araneta who passed away in February.

Tolentino was deputy director general of the International Rice Research Institute in Los Baños, Laguna prior to this post.
