GSIS opens doors for free Manila Concert Choir show
This is the agency’s way of celebrating Independence Day. The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) staged a free performance of the Manila Concert Choir at the GSIS Theater in Pasay on Sunday, June 10.
In a statement, the state-run pension firm mounted the show ahead of the 120th anniversary of Philippine independence.
“This is the most fitting way to celebrate our music and independence. The impressive ensemble will breathe life to Filipino classics that we rarely hear now,” GSIS President and General Manager Jesus Clint Aranas said in a statement.
The choir will sing an all-Pinoy set for the public. Education Secretary Leonor Briones leads the group and remains its highest soprano at 77.
