This Japanese bank is changing its name in PH

It’s part of a global branding exercise.

The central bank has approved the request of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU), Ltd. – Manila Branch to change its corporate name in the Philippines, a move in line with changes in the rest of the world.

Following this approval, BTMU will officially be known as MUFG Bank, Ltd. as it continues its operations in Manila.

“The branch has registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission its Amended License to Transact Business in the Philippines bearing its new corporate name on 23 March 2018,” the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said.

New year, new name!
