BPI system outage stalls customer service

The systems of Bank of Philippine Islands went down Tuesday night (June 19, 2018) which it blamed on “some network-related issues.”

The Ayalas’ BPI said its ATM services may be intermittent and some clients were advised to withdraw over-the-counter. The bank said its online and mobile banking facilities are operating normally.

BPI said its ATM services were “fully restored” as of 8:45 am, June 20, 2018.

Not true, said its clients.

“Cebu Ayala branch is still unavailable pls let us know once service is working,” posted FB user Michael Torillo Reboquio at 2:48pm.

FB user Steph Austria posted “I can’t withdraw in ANY atm” at 4:03pm.

“Online banking still not functioning,” posted Sunshine Barvi at 4:31pm.

“Mobile app displaying that I don’t have any products enrolled?!” said James Montano Cansino at 4:37pm.
