Bianca Elizalde shares tree-climbing adventures
The daughters of broadcasting magnate Juan Elizalde and Bianca Aranerta had a relaxing time walking in the woods last Independence Day.
Mom Bianca fondly recalled climbing trees and walking in the woods as a child.
“Some of my favorite childhood memories were spent climbing trees. In one of the houses I grew up in, there was a calachuchi tree right outside my bedroom with white blossoms and a few low slung branches that were very easy to climb.
I tried to do everything on that tree.
I read books.
I ate meals.
I pretended to nap.
I took my pet hamsters up as high as I could.
I even taught my cocker spaniel how to climb and balance on its branches.
One day my nanny was worried sick because she couldn’t find me all afternoon so I told her that the next time that happened, just to go check the roof or look up the trees. Yes, I was THAT kind of little girl 😇✌🏻
My imagination ran wild with trees. There were constant daydreams of camping out in the woods and sleeping on its branches, which is what my young self used to think you did. And today, I often share my love for them with my children, encouraging them to explore further, and climb as high as my own worried heart can handle. They’re excellent climbers. Brave, daring, and better than I ever was.
So this is how we chose to celebrate America on the morning of July 4th, right there 👆🏻enjoying the great outdoors as our playground, climbing trees, walking on fallen logs, and building forts at the forest floor. You may have caught glimpses of it on my stories.
I am taking full advantage of our wooded backyard because this is a luxury we hardly ever get back home. So if yesterday’s blue skies makes its way back to our neck of the woods, I foresee another trail hike in my very near future 🌳🌸🌼🌿 #livegrateful#liveauthentic #exploremore #moreliving#morningsinsanfrancisco #livemore#myhappynow #letsgosomewhere#wanderfolk #neverstopexploring#keepitwild #stayandwander#myeverydaymagic #meetthemoment#welivetoexplore #sanfranciscolove#sanfrancisco #exploreeverything#exploreeverywhere” @biancaelizalde said.
May your daughters Isabeli, Siena and Alessi be given the the same opportunity to experience trees in the magical way that you did, Bianca.
