Outgoing HSBC chief Veloso hounded by sexual harassment case – report

Rumors are aplenty after this bank executive announced his resignation.

Wick Veloso, CEO of HSBC’s operations in the Philippines, announced his resignation Aug. 20. Several reports are claiming that he will replace Philippine National Bank (PNB) president Reynalso Maclang who is set to retire.

Before any formal announcement has been made, there is buzz that the gods of Roxas Boulevard are not too happy about it.

“A source says Wick Veloso is the next PNB president, but an MB member raised concerns about allegations of sexual harassment versus the bank executive,” according to a report from a Manila Bulletin reporter.

How will this affect his career move? Stay tuned.
