Dominguez wants PH-Israel scholarships for DOF workers
Here’s another option for continuing education.
Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III wants more men and women from the Department of Finance to keep on learning.
The Cabinet official is currently in talks for a scholarship exchange program between the Philippines and Israel, which he is eyeing as another destination for learners of economics and finance from within the agency.
“I want to step up our scholarship program which we pay for to send our students abroad. So far we have sent them to the US, Australia and the UK. We also sent them to Japan and Korea. I want to expand. We will explore that with your staff. I want to look at an agri-economics program, at finance and economics for DOF personnel who can be sent to Israel,” Dominguez told Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ephraim Ben Matityau.
Israel is also seen as a good case study to learn financial technology as well as agricultural economics.
