DENR: Posh Henann resorts faked Boracay permits
What a shocker!
Environment Undersecretary Benny Antiporda revealed that the Henann Group of Resorts has faked its environmental compliance certificate to repoen its operations in Boracay.
In a report, Antiporda said the Department of Environment and Natural Resources will be slapping charges against the luxury hotel chain owned by the Chusuey family, which operates six establishments in the island.
The government has been closely regulating the reopening of Boracay to tourists and has accredited 68 accommodations so far. The list did not include any of the Henann properties.
This apparently came as a surprise even to Henann officials as well.
