Luzon won’t be taking the backseat under the watch of this Mindanao-born president.
Central and Northern Luzon will serve as growth hubs for Northern Philippines, with three major infrastructure projects expected to increase activity and improve connections to Manila.
Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III identified three major projects that would boost Luzon’s capacity as an agro-industrial hub, which have already been approved and are now under implementation:
– The P4.37-billion Chico River Pump Irrigation Project to provide water to 8,700 hectares of agricultural land in Cagayan and Kalinga;
– the P211.43-billion Philippine National Railways North 2 Project, which will connect Malolos in Bulacan, Clark Airport, and Clark Green City;
– and the P12.55-billion Clark International Airport New Terminal Building to help decongest the Manila airport.
Clark is particularly seen as the next metropolis once all the development works are completed.
Sit back and wait!
