Net earnings of NLEX Corp. rose 14 percent to P4.64 billion last year on robust traffic growth at the North Luzon Expressway and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.
Toll revenues went up 10 percent to P11.6 billion. Average daily traffic at NLEX increased by eight percent to 237,046 while SCTEX booked 54,566 daily entries or 21 percent more than the previous year.
NLEX contributed 84 percent of toll revenues, while SCTEX chipped in 16 percent.
Revenues from advertising, toll services and utility facilities amounted to P174.4 million while rental and service income reached P157.4 million.
The NLEX currently spans approximately 95 kilometers or 527-lane kilometers and services an average of 237,046 vehicles per day. It is the main infrastructure backbone that connects Metro Manila to Central and Northern Luzon.
SCTEX, on the other hand, is a 94-km, 2×2 expressway stretching from Subic-Tipo until La Paz, Tarlac.
