Businessman Willy Ocier, a director of Leisure Resorts World Corp., acquired an additional 100,000 shares in the company.
Based on a stock exchange filing, Ocier acquired the shares Tuesday at P4.52 and P4.53 apiece. This increased his total stockholdings in LRWC to 3.7 million shares.
LRWC closed 12.3 percent higher today at P4.39 while its warrants went up 11.07 percent to close at P3.11 after the company announced that the planned casino venture with Macau casino giant Galaxy Entertainment Group was still on.
Director share dealings are closely followed by some investors looking for clues as to when to buy.
The acquisition of shares is hailed as a vote of confidence in LRWC, which is experiencing uncertainty.
