Lufthansa Technik bags contracts from Korean Air, Asiana Airlines


Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP), a joint venture between Germany?s Lufthansa Tecknik and Lucio Tan-led aviation services firm MacroAsia Corp., inked multiple contracts with several carriers for the maintenance of their Airbus A380s.

Under the deal, LTP will conduct base maintenance checks for the A380 aircraft of Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and other carriers for the next several years.

LTP, which provides airline maintenance repair and overhaul, expects to generate more than $200 million from the deal and create over 500 million jobs.

The company plans to further expand operations to aggressively capture future market opportunities.

It remains committed to its goal of delivering better overall passenger experience that is safe, reliable, comfortable and on-time.

LTP currently employs 2,800 people ? a combination of highly skilled English-speaking mechanics, engineers and support personnel.
