Happy Lemon Philippines part-owner Chris Tiu took to Instagram to express his deepest gratitude to all the doctors and nurses who took care of his eldest daughter Amanda.

Amanda had a successful neck surgery at the Makati Medical Center.

“After 8 days in the hospital and a minor neck surgery, our princess Amanda says “I’m good”? Thank you to all our family and friends for the assistance, concern, visits and prayers!! To our doctors and nurses in Makati Med, thank you for caring for Amanda and helping her recover (almost there). Shout out to the most amazing mommy of Amanda who almost never left her side, made Amanda comfortable in her room (as you can see with the pillows, decors, etc) and entertained her with games, puzzles and conversations. This required a lot of effort, but she chose to do this instead of giving the iPad or any digital stimulus.

Despite all that she went through, our little princess remained so pleasant and cheerful , and many times she’d be the one entertaining us.
To those concerned, Amanda was infected with the Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria, which caused her lymphnode to swell up to 6cm in diameter. With weeks of various oral antibiotics and IV, doctors finally drained the pus out surgically on Monday. She’s now much better. Thankfully, the infection was contained and didn’t spread elsewhere or this could have been very dangerous! I guess one thing we learned from this frightening experience is never to take lightly any lumps or signs of infection. In a way, it also reminded us to pray more and find strength in our Lord ?,” said @chris_tiu17.
