MANILA — The Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) will increase toll rates by P 0.51 per kilometer starting Friday, June 14 following approval by the Toll Regulatory Board.
SCTEX to add 20 new toll lanes
In a statement on Saturday, SCTEX operator NLEX Corp. said the following toll rates would be effective at 12:01 a.m. of the said date:
From Mabalacat City (Mabiga Interchange), Pampanga to Tarlac:
NLEX budgets P400M for SCTEX expansion
– Class 1 vehicles (ordinary cars) will pay an additional P20.
– Class 2 vehicles (buses and light commercial trucks) will pay an additional P40.
– Class 3 vehicles (large trucks/trailers) will pay an additional P60.
SCTEX contract finally awarded to MVP Group
Meanwhile, motorists traveling between Mabalacat and Tipo in Subic will be charged an additional P32, P66, and P98 for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles, respectively.
The petition for toll adjustments was filed by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) in 2011 according to the NLEX Corporation. (PNA)
