DAVAO CITY – Qatar Airways has announced that it will be opening the Doha-Davao route starting next week.
Qatar Airways will be the 11th airline to fly to Davao and the fourth international carrier to do so after XiamenAir, Cathay Dragon and SilkAir.
In an announcement on its website, the state-owned airline said passengers flying to Doha from Davao can start purchasing their tickets at the special launch price of just $750 (about P38,921.25).
The initial flight date has been set on June 18. It will service the route once a week.
The airline said travelers flying from Davao to Doha can easily fly to about 160 other destinations worldwide.

Qatar Airways, which was founded in 1993, is a member of the Oneworld Alliance and has a fleet of over 200 aircraft. It is owned by the State of Qatar. (PNA)
