Budget airline AirAsia Philippines is seeking additional flight entitlements to Taiwan and Macau, which have seen a steady increase in tourist arrivals.
AirAsia Philippines has sought the approval of the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) to launch more flights to Macau from Clark and Cebu.
It also filed a petition for designation of official Philippine carrier and allocation of entitlements to Taiwan under the MECO-TECO agreement on the exchange of traffic rights.
Beginning Aug. 1, AirAsia Philippine will be flying to Kaohsiung, Taiwan from Clark and Cebu.
AirAsia Philippines operates international flights to and from Shanghai, Incheon (Seoul), Hong Kong, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Guangzhou, Vietnam, Shenzhen, Kaohshing, Bali, Shenzhen, Indonesia, Singapore and soon Japan.
In the Philippines, AirAsia operates several flights to and from Manila, Davao, Cebu, Kalibo, Caticlan (Boracay), Tacloban, Tagbilaran (Bohol), Puerto Princesa (Palawan), Clark and Iloilo.
