Globe, Araneta Center team up to provide free wifi to mallgoers
Ayala-led Globe Telecom has further expanded its GoWifi service with the addition of the Araneta Center.
Globe entered into a partnership with Araneta Center to provide fast and reliable intenet connectivity to the latter’s mall visitors.
“This partnership with Araneta Center will allow more customers to enjoy free WiFi services using Globe’s high-speed GoWiFi service and make their shopping—and internet surfing—truly a one-of-a-kind experience,” said Ernest Cu, pesident and CEO of Globe.
GoWiFi is now accessible in 2,500 sites nationwide, up by 500 sites from the previous year. Globe plans to double this to 5,000 by next year. It continues its expansion plans nationwide, particularly in high-traffic areas like malls, hospitals, and schools to make high-quality internet connection accessible and affordable to more Filipinos.
Globe said GoWiFi is the country’s largest WiFi service in the country that aims to provide customers better WiFi experience with speeds of up to 100Mbps depending on the location. It is available to all users regardless of network, whether Globe, Touch Mobile, Smart, Talk N Text, and even international numbers.
