AFP allows Mislatel build telco facilities in military camps
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) signed a deal with Dennis Uy’s Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company, allowing Mislatel to install telco facilities in military camps.
Mislatel has been authorized to set up communication facilities even inside AFP sites.
The AFP will identify the specific areas for Mislatel to lease.
For its part, Mislatel promised it would not use the technology to acquire classified information, even as it counts China Telecom as among its major backers.
