Rissa Mananquil-Trillo proudly shares her scholar’s achievements
The more you give, the more you receive. This is probably one of the reasons behind Happy Skin’s success. Unknown to many, Rissa Mananquil Trillo has been silently supporting a college student’s education at the Ateneo. She could have easily breathe a sigh of relief when son Enzo finished school, but she decided to send a brilliant and hardworking mind to university.
Meet Tina. She is a consistent honor student, president of the League of Independent Organizations in the Ateneo, member of GoodGovPH, a photojournalist for The Guidon, and Rissa’s scholar.
Like a true mom, Rissa couldn’t be any prouder of this girl’s achievements. “I will never say no to someone who wants to learn more, and all the more to someone who has the drive to make a difference in the future,” Rissa said in her caption.

Enzo may have graduated already but there’s still someone in Ateneo I’m waiting for—my scholar, Tina. I felt like crying when I saw her grades. She’s been an honour student the last three semesters with her latest QPI hitting first honors. I feel like a proud parent. She recently took an internship at edukasyon.ph, was elected as Coordinator/President of League of Independent Organizations (LIONS) in Ateneo, and is part of a youth organization promoting good governance in the Philippines (GoodGovPH). She’s also member of The Guidon and has an interest in photography and art and tried submitting her work to some editors. . So when she humbly shared she wanted to step up her academics by pursuing a Specialization in Development Management & Minor in Sociology, I said yes in a heartbeat. “As my benefactor though, would you be willing to support these additional subjects? As a scholar, I will surely compensate it with service hours, should you approve of my minors.” . I wanted to cry. This girl owes me nothing. It’s me who owes the world back so much. Life has been good to me, Paolo, and my children. Extremely grateful for @happyskin_ph and I promised myself to give back by devoting a portion of my earnings to education. I will never say no to someone who wants to learn more, and all the more to someone who has the drive to make a difference in the future. . She makes me feel ashamed of how I spend my time. She moves and inspires me to do more for our country and the next generation. THIS is the kind of influencer we need today, and not merely the kind who is on a pedestal because of numbers or who influences other people’s spending. . Thank you, Tina, for taking me around Ateneo. It felt so good to unplug and explore the campus through your eyes. And thank you, Jolly Morata from the Office of Admission & Aid, for guiding me to be the best benefactor I can be. . In a few years, Tina will graduate. “I’ll do my best to keep my academic performance up,” she told me. “Head in the clouds, feet on the ground, heart deep in love.”❤️❤️❤️
