This is a surefire way to beat Metro Manila’s horrible traffic.
Singapore startup Ascent just rolled out its helicopter on-demand service.
“For the first time, Ascent users can instantly purchase helicopter flights by the seat and by the route at their own time directly from the platform,” Ascent CEO Lionel Sinai-Sinelnikoff said in a statement.
People can also book extra services like luggage transport and first and last mile ground transport on the Ascent platform.
Corporate packages including customized flight arrangements are also available.
Pickups and drop-offs can be arranged at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Makati City, Bonifacio Global City, Quezon City, Ortigas, Pasay, Clark, Subic, Batangas, and Tagaytay.
Back in April, Ascent pegged the cheapest route at P6,900 for the Makati-BGC flight at three minutes. The longest is the P25,900 ride from the Manila and Clark international airports, cutting a three-hour journey to just a 30-minute ride.
Ascent is looking to expand to the Visayas and Mindanao as well as across Southeast Asia.
