Netizen Marco Ezer De las Alas shared his unfortunate experience after falling victim to an email scam that reportedly resulted in all his savings getting wiped out.
He shared a screenshot of an email purporting to be from BDO Online Support, saying there’s something wrong with his account and to immediately take action or risk losing access to his account.
He was directed to access a spoof website and enter details such as user ID and passwords used in banking transactions.
“‘Pag may nagsend sa inyo ng ganitong email bogus to. Nasimot laman ng bank account ko. T*****a nanlalambot ako. Ingat nalang guys,” he shared in his now-viral post.
