The Laban Konsyumer Inc. has filed a complaint against the Department of Energy for allegedly allowing collusion and price-fixing between oil companies.

The Laban Konsyumer Inc. has filed a complaint against the Department of Energy for allegedly allowing collusion and price-fixing between oil companies.

The consumer group accused the DOE of abetting and facilitating the implementation of a pricing formula that substantially restricts and prevents competition in the retail of petroleum products, in violation of ensuring market competition.

A complaint was also filed against oil firms Chevron Philippines, Petron Corp., PTT Philippines Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Total Philippines Corp., SeaOil Philippines, Inc., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc., Jetti Petroleum Inc., Eastern Petroleum Corp., City Oil Philippines, Inc., Filpride Energy Corp., Clean Fuels Philippines, TWA Inc., and Petro Gazz Ventures Corp.

LKI lodged its complaints with the Philippine Competition Commission.
