Rodriguez, however, vehemently denied using political strings to get the government’s greenlight to operate.

“Walang kinalaman ang PDP-Laban dito,” Rodriguez said.

JoyRide officials earlier admitted seeking help from PDP president Sen. Koko Pimentel to endorse them to the Department of Transportation — an effort which likely paid off, as they got the second spot in the motorcycle taxi service.
