PAL, Cebu Pacific, AirAsia PH cancel Taipei flights due to coronavirus
Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and AirAsia Philippines quickly responded to the announcement of Health spokesperson Eric Domingo that Taiwan is covered by the travel ban due to the novel coronavirus.
Under the One China policy, Taiwan is considered part of China’s territory.
Before midnight struck, PAL and Cebu Pacific announced the suspension of all flights to and from Taipei effective Tuesday, February 11 “until further notice.”
AirAsia Philippines followed suit. It likewise extended the period to obtain full refund for guests with flight bookings to and from mainland China, Macau andHong Kong until March 28.
