Seriously?!!? This economist couldn’t believe PH scored a credit rating upgrade from Fitch
Bank of the Philippine Islands lead economist Jun Neri raised more than an eyebrow over global debt watcher Fitch Ratings’ move to upgrade the Philippines’ credit rating to positive from stable.
The new rating is just a notch away from the much-coveted A rating.

Fitch raised its outlook on the Philippines to “BBB”, citing the latter’s sound “macroeconomic policy that will support high growth rates as well as continued resilience in its external finances.”
