J&T Express vows cooperation in mishandled parcels probe

Courier service firm J&T Express Philippines said it would cooperate with authorities probing its alleged mishandling of packages.

President Duterte on Tuesday night ordered the National Bureau of Investigation, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to investigate J&T Express amid complaints from the company’s customers.

“We appreciate the concern expressed by the President towards our customers’ welfare as well as the well-being of our many partners and employees,” said Zoe Chi, VP of J&T Philippines.

“Furthermore, we will cooperate with the government in any investigation that it will conduct. We are committed to improving our services for the benefit of the public,” she added.

Aside from the Philippines, J&T has a presence in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.
