TMC at full capacity to treat COVID patients

The Medical City has sounded the alarm Tuesday, announcing it has reached the maximum capacity in responding to more coronavirus cases.

“Despite efforts to reorganize and augment our facilities and manpower, The Medical City has reached full capacity of COVID-19 allocated beds as of July 14. We are fully aware that this is a looming problem but we cannot go beyond our capacity to take care of COVID-19 patients without posing serious risks to everyone- both the patients COVID and non-COVID) and our hospital staff,” the Pasig-based medical institution said.

“We are in close coordination with the local government of Pasig for the management of COVID-19 patients on the strength of our existing public-private partnership destinating Pasig Cty Children’s Hospital as a COVID center for moderate cases,” said Dr. Rafael S. Claudio, chief medical officer of TMC.
