Uniwide founder Jimmy Gow takes on dual role as waste management firm after president falls ill due to pandemic

Bilyonaryo Jimmy Gow has been forced to take on a dual role in his waste management company after its president fell ill due to the pandemic.

The 75-year old founder of the Uniwide Group is taking over as president concurrent with his role as chairman of Asia Amalgamated Holdings Corp., an investment firm involved in distribution of household filter equipment and industrial wastes treatment.

Abogado Cesar E. Romano resigned as Asia Amalgamated president on August 12, 2020 “for the reason of health security due to pandemic, he can not perform well his duty as President,” according to the firm in a report to regulators.

Gow owns 89 percent of publicly-listed Asia Amalgamated.
