Ex-PLDT EVP Ernesto Alberto named president of DITO CME

Businessman Dennis Uy has relinquished his post as president of DITO CME Holdings to make way for former PLDT chief revenue officer Ernesto Alberto.

In a regulatory filing, DITO said Uy remains as chairman and CEO of the company.

Prior to his appointment as DITO president, Alberto served as independent director of the company.

He took the optional retirement from the MVP Group in June 2019.

Uy said Alberto’s appointment would “foster an appropriate balance of power, increased accountability, and better capacity for independent decision-making” within DITO.
