President Rodrigo Duterte wants all importers and suppliers to reveal where they live so he can go after them if ever they get involved in corruption.
Duterte issued the order as some corruption propbers end up hitting a blank wall due to fake addresses put in by importers or bidders in government projects.
In a late night briefing, Duterte ordered the Bureau of Customs to require all importers to declare truthfully their residence.
Somebody must stand for them or if need be, their lawyer, together with their clients,” said Duterte.
Duterte said all supplies and contracts under the the Bayanihan projects would be published in newspapers, specifically their names and their home address.
I want them na kung saan sila nakatira,” said Duterte.
