PH economy won’t return to pre-Covid level until 2024

Number cruncher Peter Cayton, PhD was curious enough when a friend asked him how much time it would take for the local economy to recover from the pandemic.

Cayton said the climb back is going to be a lot longer than expected amid the ongoing health crisis.

“Assuming that the economy grows back by 6% annually immediately after Q2 2020, roughly at least 4 years from now,” Cayton said.
