IATF wants longer quarantine status for business ‘stability’

The government’s COVID-19 task force has proposed extending the quarantine period to one month from two weeks to ensure policy stability to a greater extent.

“Ang pinaka-benefit nito, of course, mas may stability sa ating pagkilos sa reopening of the economy. Hindi po pabago-bago, may konting stability,” Lopez said in a media briefing.

Lopez hopes more establishments will reopen with this set-up.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila mayors agreed to maintain the GCQ status for another month to ensure strict compliance to wearing of face masks and face shields as part of efforts to slow the spread of Covid-19.
