Ayalas warn against illegal Globe at Home connections

Globe Telecoms has warned the public of a new modus operandi in which unscrupulous people offer active broadband lines illegally to customers.

“It has come to our attention that there are individuals pretending to be Globe At Home representatives who may call and ask you to turn off your Globe At Home modem for several hours for alleged emergency repair.

This is an ongoing modus of unscrupulous people who use the situation to offer active broadband lines illegally to other customers,” the Ayala-led telco said in its Facebook page.

Globe said all maintenance and troubleshooting involves only a few minutes of work, and that all repairs should be planned ahead and come with a corresponding work order.

The company likewise showed a video of what to expect from an official Globe At Home technician during a tech visit.
