Jollibee pushes ahead with expansion, opens in Liverpool and West Plano

Homegrown fastfood giant Jollibee Foods Corp. is not letting the coronavirus pandemic slow its expansion.

To further strengthen its presence overseas, JFC opened its first Jollibee stores in Liverpool and in the Greater Dallas Area in West Plano, Texas, with excited fans enduring long queue just get their hands on the world-famous Chicken Joy and Jollibee’s signature sweet spaghetti.

The Liverpool branch – located inside the former Lush on Whitechapel, is the second Jollibee restaurant to open in the UK.

JFC is set to open its third UK site, in Leicester, before the end of the year. Plans are also underway to open outlets in Manchester and Birmingham.

JFC chief executive officer Ernesto Tanmantiong said the group remains on track to open 50 branches across Europe in the next three to five years.

Opened last August 20, Jollibee West Plano is the brand’s third store in Texas and the 45th store in the US overall.

Jollibee will continue to safely open stores in California and Canada by year-end.

The group’s flagship brand currently has over 1,400 stores across the globe.
