PLDT blames road widening projects, other telcos for signal issues in Mindanao

PLDT subscribers in Mindanao struggled with poor network signal and connectivity Monday.

The culprit, PLDT said, was the “construction work being done by contractors of other telecom providers” as well as road widening projects, which damaged its fiber optic cable that left many residents and businesses without phone or data services.

Service was restored at 4 p.m, much to the fury of people who let off steam on social media.
