Ka-ching! Dito director, CFO take profits on stock’s all-time high

Two key officials of Dito CME Holdings, controlled by bilyonaryo Dennis Uy, took advantage of the stock’s steep climb this week to make some quick money.

Dito chief financial officer and director Joseph John L. Ong unloaded a total of 127,000 shares at P760 and P8 per share on October 6.

Dito director Eric Recto, who has been lightening up his uncle Bobby Ongpin’s stake in the company, also unloaded unloaded two million shares at P7.236 per share.

Dito fluctuated between a low of P5.20 and an all-time high of P8.05 before closing trading at P6.81 on October 6 (total of 355 million shares were traded).

The previous day, Businessworld quoted Dito chief technology officer Rodolfo D. Santiago as saying that Uy’s telecom franchise was in the process of putting up 880 cellular towers across Mindanao, including 237 in Davao City, in time for its March 2021 commercial launch.
