Labor group blasts Robina Farms for laying off 202 workers

The militant labor group Kilusang Mayo Uno condemned the retrenchment of over 200 employees of Robina Farms, the farm products unit of the Gokongwei family’s Universal Robina Corp.

KMU likewise condemned the police for harassing the works who protested their removal from the company.

According to KMU, 202 employees received a notice of termination from Robina Farms.

Established in 1963, Robina Farms is one of the largest agro-industrial companies in the Philippines which supplies Filipino families with premium pork meat cuts and fresh eggs.
