A Babbler said PLDT Senior Vice President Chaye Cabal-Revilla was reportedly top on the list of Pangilinan’s choices to fill in the top post at MediaQuest Holdings, owned by PLDT’s pension plan Beneficial Trust Fund.
Mediaquest has interests in television (TV 5), radio (Nation Broadcasting Corp.), pay TV (Cignal), newspapers (Philippine Star and BusinessWorld), and film production (Unitel).
Mediaquest president Espinosa was named president and CEO of Meralco in May 2019 and the Babbler said Pangilinan wanted a full-time executive to run his media unit which is on an expansion mode following the fall of former media giant, ABS-CBN, which lost its franchise.
Cabal-Revilla is currently chief financial officer of PLDT’s mobile unit, Smart Communications. She was named CFO of the year at the Philippine Leadership Awards in 2019
She has a as a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from De La Salle University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Asian Institute of Management.
She is the wife of Cavite Rep. Strike Revilla the brother of Senator and movie star Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.
