Recognized as “Most Outstanding Global Entrepreneurs” at The 51st Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF) Box Office Entertainment Awards, they were awarded for their contributions to the business industry – particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
So and Macadangdang’s entrepreneurial efforts provide extra income for individuals. This is especially important for those who lost their jobs during the crisis. Making lemonade with lemons, they developed products like Coppermask and Ninja Ion – both met with success in the market. Other JC products such as Calvit – C, K-Pads, Barley and Good Leaf Ashitaba continue to be in high demand.
JC has created and acquired a handful of businesses during the crisis. This is a commendable feat at a time when most businesses are either shutting down or simply trying to stay afloat. The company eschewed layoffs. Instead, they hired hundreds of employees in the course of seven months – a necessity for their expanding empire.
While the two executives have certainly earned their respects through their credentials, they maintain it by keeping good relationships with those they work with. Their staff, for example, are taken care of during the crisis through their employee relationship programs. This seems to be a continuing theme for So and Macadangdang. From suppliers to brand ambassadors, distributors to customers, they make sure everyone’s happy and satisfied.
As Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang expand their business to other industries such as food, health and wellness, and technology, they continue to keep their eyes open for opportunities ahead.
